How do we prepare for the perfect Estate Italiana?
Before we know it, we’ll be in full summer mode, reclining by the pool or al mare under those iconic umbrellas at our hotels. In the meantime, our preparation for the upcoming season has well and truly started. We thought we’d share some of the tried and tested pre-summer rituals we follow every year to ensure we welcome our favourite season in true ISSIMO style.
From re-stocking those FichISSIMO personal essentials we can’t live without, to exploring new recipes and artisanal ingredients that will delight our guests at al fresco dinner parties, our pre-summer rituals never fail to heighten our excitement for the perfect Estate Italiana. They include some of our favourite ISSIMO products for the wardrobe, the beauty cabinet, and of course, the beach! Read on to discover how we’re getting ready for an epic summer this year.
Curating a ChicISSIMO Wardrobe
Not that we need an excuse to curate an impossibly chic summer wardrobe inspired by the colour, elegance and flair of all things ‘Dolce Vita’,…but a visit to our three hotels is the perfect reason! We’re loving statement colours, prints and textures in pieces that are designed as part of special collaborations which exude ChicISSIMO summer style! In fact, we already have our eye on a few special pieces we can’t wait to style up and wear to aperitivi at Hotel Il Pellicano, and dinner on the Terrace at La Posta Vecchia.

It doesn’t get more BuonISSIMO than an al fresco summer dinner party, does it? On those balmy summer evenings when we’re not dining out, we love hosting friends and family at home for an authentic Italian feast prepared with the finest artisanal ingredients. From fragrant new cocktails, to a fresh spin on iconic Roman dishes, we’re already busy trialling and testing new recipes to add to our repertoire this summer. Yes, that includes taste-testing… perhaps our favourite part of this pre-summer ritual. It’s time to get creative in the kitchen!
Re-stocking Everyday Essentials
We all have our favourite summer staples: T-shirts, hats, and other personal essentials that are with us around the clock. They take us from our morning caffè, to the beach, to the tennis court, and beyond in effortless style. It’s time to restock them! Better yet, we’re excited to refresh our ‘everyday’ summer style by exploring new colourways and updates on timeless classics that complement any outfit.
Refreshing the Beauty Cabinet
Overhauling the beauty cabinet has to be one of the most invigorating pre-summer rituals. We’re clearing out all the old and tired products and giving our daily beauty routine a new lease of life. Our line-up of summer beauty essentials features products created using pure natural ingredients that keep our skin hydrated and glowing all through the season. (Our little secret: products made with indulgent aromatics and essences inspired by the surrounds of our hotels bring that ‘summer feeling’ all year round!)

A Summer of Wellbeing at our Hotels
Summer prep at our hotels is also well underway with a focus on health and wellness, which is such an important aspect of the Pelli lifestyle! Located in La Posta Vecchia’s rejuvenating garden, the hotel’s new gym invites guests to stretch, workout and reset their focus in perfect serenity with access to state-of-the art new equipment. For those who prefer to exercise outdoors, our hotels also offer open leisure areas for running, walking, or even just taking a moment to sit and meditate with an ocean view – as we love to do at Hotel Il Pellicano! On the topic of relaxation, the Beauty Clubs at our hotels offer a range of luxe massages, facials, and special treatments that will nourish your summer skin, and help your mind and body recharge. Speaking of which, we’ve already booked our appointments for our all-time favourite Thermal Mud treatment at Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa!
