Few places capture this better than Umbria, Italy’s “green heart,” where the pace of life still follows the seasons. Here, Quintosapore – an innovative farming project dedicated to renewing Italy’s agri-food traditions – has reimagined cultivation through biomimicry, sustainability, and deep respect for heritage.

Now, in collaboration with ISSIMO, these values come to life in three exclusive food boxes: a limited-edition collection that brings together the conviviality of the Italian table with forward-thinking agriculture.

At its heart, this project is a story of friendship. It was born from the bond between Marie-Louise Sciò, CEO and Creative Director of Pellicano Hotels Group, and Livia Giuggioli, co-founder of Quintosapore. United by a shared love for authenticity, design, and the rhythms of Italian living, they’ve transformed a personal connection into something to savour, gift, and share.

For ISSIMO, it’s also a nod to the region that will soon become even more central to our story: in 2027, Umbria will welcome our newest retreat, La Badia. Consider these boxes a prelude, a delicious invitation to discover the flavours of our soon-to-be home.

From Seed to Jar: Quintosapore’s Philosophy

Quintosapore isn’t your average farm. Founded by Livia and her twin brothers, Alessandro and Nicola, it’s a living experiment in how food can – and should – be grown. Their approach, Biomimic Farming, combines regenerative, biodynamic, and agroforestry practices with tools like biochar and beneficial microorganisms. The result? Vegetables grown with integrity, bursting with nutrients, and packed with the unmistakable taste of Umbrian soil.

Every product follows a closed-circle story: from heritage seed to hand-harvested vegetable to carefully crafted jar. Nothing unnecessary, nothing rushed – just food as nature intended.

This philosophy pairs beautifully with ISSIMO’s mission to curate the very best of Italian living. In their own way, these boxes are a gentle nudge to rethink eating itself: not only as nourishment, but as participation in a cycle of heritage, community, and care for the land.

Meant for sharing with friends (preferably alongside a glass of something chilled), this box includes smoky aubergine caviar, courgettes preserved in extra virgin olive oil, a delicate aglione garlic shoot pâté, and tangy green tomatoes.
