The Cena all’Italiana – Pelli edition

The Cena all’Italiana – Pelli edition

Three Chefs, Three Hotels, One Shared Table

In Italy, dinner is never just dinner. It’s a ritual – a moment to gather, share, laugh, toast, and linger. It's about the flavours, of course, but also the faces around the table, the stories exchanged, and the pleasure of breaking bread together.

So we thought: Why not invite our guests to sit with us this summer and autumn, and let them experience a cena all’italiana (with a very Pelly twist, of course)? Three exclusive dinners across our three legendary hotels, to spotlight the chefs behind our kitchens, but also our traditions, culinary and cultural.

While each dinner is a one-night-only event, together, they form a larger story of collaboration, regionality, and the quiet magic that happens when great minds (and great palates) meet. Behind them all are Michelino Gioia of Hotel Il Pellicano, Andrea Barcia of La Posta Vecchia Hotel, and Giuseppe D’Abundo of Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa, who will join forces and ideas to celebrate their unique territories, and design a dining experience that could only happen in this trio of singular places.

Each chef brings a different terroir to the table: the volcanic richness of Ischia, the marine bounty of Lazio’s coastlines, the hearty boldness of Tuscany’s Monte Argentario. The result is an explosion of flavours served under the stars – a perfect mix of surprising pairings, inventive dishes, and recipes deeply rooted in seasonality.

The first stop will be at Hotel Il Pellicano on August 29 – expect coastal ingredients, nods to inland traditions, and a menu that reflects both nostalgia and flair. Next up will be La Posta Vecchia on September 12, with a menu set to lean towards local ingredients, wild herbs, and sun-drenched produce, freshly picked from the hotel’s vegetable garden. Last but not least, the grand finale at Mezzatorre on October 18, with a dinner that promises to pay homage to the island in innovative  ways.

Each evening begins with aperitivo, evolves into a multi-course celebration, and ends – as all good Italian dinners do – with full bellies, and the sense that something memorable just happened.

Care to join us? Whether you’re a guest of the hotel or simply in the mood for a once-in-a-season indulgence, you're welcome at our table!
