Few icons capture the essence of Italian seaside glamour quite like Hotel Il Pellicano. Nestled in Porto Ercole, along the Tuscan coast, the legendary hotel has been synonymous with dolce vita elegance since its founding in 1965. Now, as the property gears up to celebrate its 60th anniversary – that’s next month everybody! – we at ISSIMO decided to honour this milestone with an exclusive capsule collection that marries nostalgia, style, and a touch of playful sprezzatura.
At the heart of this celebration is, of course, the beloved Pellicano logo: a chic, hand-drawn pelican that has become synonymous with the hotel’s storied allure. The choice makes perfect sense: The mighty bird is as emblematic and romantic as the hotel itself, and has been part of the hotel’s history from the very beginning.

the capsule features an all-over logo print across a series of easygoing, vintage-flair pieces – think unisex shirts, pants, boxer shorts, and sarongs. Perfect for summer escapes, these stylish essentials channel a breezy, jet-set nonchalance, updated with a modern twist.

According to some accounts, the logo was designed by the fourteen-year-old daughter of Michael Graham and Patsy Daszel, but it was Patsy – a Parsons School of Design alumna with an impeccable eye and refined flair – who gave the idea its timeless, graphic form. Combining her daughter’s imaginative spark with her own design chops, Patsy created a logo that felt personal, poetic, and effortlessly stylish – the ideal mascot for what would become one of Italy’s most soulful properties.
