Explore the line-up of bespoke events and unforgettable evenings in store this summer.

If there’s not already enough to keep you entertained, indulged and pampered at our hotels during the summer, we also have a line-up of special events throughout the season that invite guests to experience the ‘Pelli universe’ in all its flair, flavour and style. A series of aperitivi, trunk shows and curated culinary experiences at Hotel Il Pellicano, Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa and La Posta Vecchia are designed to immerse guests in an authentic taste of all things ‘dolce vita’ at the time of year when our hotels are absolutely buzzing!
Led by the expert staff across our three hotels, these special events are the perfect opportunity to socialise and meet other guests, to discover more about our hotels’ locations, and to experience the finest local produce Italy has to offer through specially-designed menus and cultural rituals. As guests always tell us, our hotels’ summer events make the ultimate summer memories!
APERITIVI REINVENTED

Sipping on an aromatic, Gin-based cocktail on a summer’s evening has to be among life’s great pleasures, right? Even better, one that’s prepared with Il Pellicano Gin at Bar Roberto! Bar Manager and mixology master Federico Morosi is reinventing aperitivo hour for guests at Hotel Il Pellicano this summer with a bespoke spirit created in collaboration with Attilio Cillario, master distiller of Cillario & Marazzi Spirit Co. Trust us, you haven’t tasted Gin until you’ve tried this one, which is inspired by classic Mediterranean scents including rosemary from the hotel’s garden, Tuscan juniper and lemons. It’s basically Italy in a bottle, and it’s the star of Hotel Il Pellicano’s special ‘Aperitivi Italiani’ on offer all summer.
Guarda che luna! The ‘Full Moon Aperitivo’ at our three hotels invites guests to experience the finest local and artisanal produce from the surrounding regions in a special menu of canapés, cocktails and wines under the mystical light of the full moon. Each of the hotels also invite local growers, artisans and wine-makers to these special aperitivi, so you can meet and mingle with the network of producers who have worked with our chefs for years.

This summer, Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa will host a special Full Moon Aperitivo in June with local Ischian producers Cenatiempo and Azienda Agricola Ruffano, who supply the hotel with some of Italy’s finest wine, oil and honey products. While in July, local producers Tommasone and La Pergola will join hotel guests in celebrating the authentic flavours and culinary gems of Ischia. Hotel Il Pellicano welcomes producers including Fracassi and cheese artisans De’ Magi to its Full Moon Aperitivi this summer.
Let’s not forget those magic summer evenings on the terrace at La Posta Vecchia, which will also host an aperitivo on 14th June with Ammano, our Fiumicino-based producers and suppliers of specialty meats and cheeses, and wines from Sergio Mottura. A second aperitivo on 6th September will feature produce from dairy artisan Sergio Pitzalis, and wines from Gabriele Magno.
TRUNK SHOWS AND SHOPPING, ISSIMO-STYLE
The spirit of ISSIMO comes to life at our hotels’ boutiques, where guests are invited to browse and experience a range of ‘Made in Italy’ treasures including fashion, home decor and hotel souvenirs, many of which come from one-of-a-kind ISSIMO collaborations!

Hotel Il Pellicano’ boutique will host a series of trunk shows in June and July, with special evenings dedicated to showcasing products from some of our favourite brands including Métier, Bibi Van Der Velden, Charlotte Chesnais and Loretta Caponi. If you love a spot of curated holiday shopping without the stress of crowds and queues, these trunk shows are definitely for you!
4 HANDS DINNER
What happens when an Executive Chef from one of our hotels goes over and joins forces with another? An exceptional summer dining experience, that’s what! We’re thrilled to introduce a new culinary concept across our three hotels this summer, the 4 Hands Dinner. This series will unite culinary creativity and gastronomic inspiration from our hotels like never before!

The first dinner in the series will see Michelin-Star Chef Michelino Gioia (from Hotel Il Pellicano) visit Mezzatorre Hotel and cook with Chef Giuseppe D’Abundo in June.

In the second, Chef Giuseppe D’Abundo (Mezzatorre Hotel & Thermal Spa) will visit La Posta Vecchia and cook together with Chef Antonio Magliulo in September.

In October, Chef Antonio Magliulo will head up north to Hotel Il Pellicano to cook in collaboration with Chef Michelino Gioia. More details and dates to come soon about this new culinary initiative that takes ‘BuonISSIMO’ to a whole new level!
We’ll be honest, we’re already planning the perfect outfits for this superb line-up of events happening at our hotels this summer.
